jurnalist brazilian
Samuel Wainer was a prominent Brazilian journalist and author, born to a Jewish family in Edineț, Bessarabia, within the Russian Empire. His family relocated to Brazil in 1912, settling in São Paulo, where he would later establish himself as a key figure in the country's literary scene. Wainer's career was marked by his founding and direction of notable publications, including the Diretrizes magazine and the Última Hora newspaper.
Wainer's personal life was also intertwined with the literary and journalistic world. He was married to Danuza Leão, a Brazilian journalist and model, and the couple had a son, Samuel Wainer Filho, who followed in his father's footsteps as a journalist. In addition to Samuel Wainer Filho, the couple had two other children: Débora "Pinky" Wainer, a plastic artist, and Bruno Wainer, a film producer. Tragically, Wainer's life was cut short in 1984 when he died in a car accident, alongside a camera operator. Through his work and legacy, Wainer left a lasting impact on Brazilian literature and journalism.
