Pauline Bebe

French rabbi

Pauline Bebe is a French rabbi who has made significant contributions to the Jewish community in France. She serves as the rabbi of Communauté Juive Libérale, a Progressive Jewish congregation based in Paris. Her appointment to this role marked a milestone in French Jewish history, as she became the first female rabbi to lead a synagogue in the country.

As a trailblazer in her field, Bebe has paved the way for other women to pursue careers in the rabbinate. As of 2018, she is one of only four female rabbis in France, alongside Célia Surget, Delphine Horvilleur, and Floriane Chinsky. Bebe's achievements have helped to promote greater diversity and inclusivity within the French Jewish community, and her leadership continues to inspire and serve the congregation at Communauté Juive Libérale.
