Shlomo Hillel

Shlomo Hillel was a distinguished Israeli diplomat and politician, born in Iraq in 1923. As an agent of the Mossad LeAliyah Bet, he orchestrated the mass airlift of Iraqi Jews to Israel, known as Operation Ezra and Nehemiah, in the late 1940s and early 1950s.
