Johannes Pharamund Rhumelius

German physician (1597–1661)

Johannes Pharamund Rhumelius was a German physician and alchemist who lived from 1597 to 1661. Born in Neumark, he went on to become a notable figure in his field, practicing medicine and exploring the principles of alchemy. During his lifetime, he was a contemporary of the prominent Flemish scientist Jan Baptist van Helmont, with whom he shared an era of significant scientific discovery and development.

Rhumelius's work and expertise spanned the disciplines of medicine and alchemy, although his specific contributions to these fields are not well-documented.
